Hudson from Powder anthology, John Peck, editor of Beeswax Magazine, and up & coming writers Lauren Becker and Amy Burkhardt. Joseph Lease is the author of three critically acclaimed poetry collections: Broken World, Human Rights, and The Room. His dynamic, lyrical, political poetry has been featured on NPR and in The Best American Poetry 2002. He has published in The AGNI 30th Anniversary Poetry Anthology, VQR, Bay Poetics, and Paris Review. He is an Associate Professor of Writing and Literature at California College of the Arts. Non-fiction Victoria A. Hudson read from Powder: Writing by Women in the Ranks from Vietnam to Iraq. Featured Literary Publication Beeswax Magazine editor John Peck presented Mary Suddaby, who read from her work in the journal. Emerging Writers Amy Burkhardt and Lauren Becker each read from their work. |
