Featuring Iowa Short Fiction Award winners Jennine Capo Crucet & Kathryn MaNew York Times Notable Book author David CorbettSan Francisco Chronicle best-selling author Josh Mohr, poet Clive Matson reading from his work with cello accompaniment by Gael Alcock, and a special appearance by professional magician Robert Strong.

Jennine Capó Crucet's debut book, How to Leave Hialeah, won the Iowa Short Fiction Prize & the John Gardner Award. She's the recipient of a 2011 O. Henry Prize.

Kathryn Ma's book All That Work and Still No Boys won the 2009 Iowa Short Fiction Award, was an SF Chronicle "Notable" Book, and an LA Times Discovery Book. 

David Corbett has written four novels, including a New York Times Notable Book and has been published in Best American Mystery Stories.

Josh Mohr has written two books, including an SF Chronicle best-seller.


Robert Strong was recently voted "San Francisco's Funniest Prop Comedian," has appeared on CBS This Morning, and has performed at the White House, for the U.S. Congress, and in more than 30 different countries.


Doors open at 7:00. Reading begins at 7:30.
