Featuring Edgar Award nominee Lewis BuzbeeNew York Times Editors' Choice author Skip HorackRiver Teeth Literary Nonfiction Award-winner Lisa Catherine Harperpodcasting guru & acclaimed noir author Seth Harwood, and Stegner Fellow Justin St. Germain reading from his work in featured literary journal Alligator Juniper.


Lewis Buzbee is the author of Flegelman’s DesireAfter the Gold RushFirst to Leave Before the Sun and The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop; and three novels for younger readers, Steinbeck's Ghost, The Haunting of Charles Dickens (nominated for an Edgar Award) and Mark Twain and the Mysterious Stranger (to be published in 2012).

Skip Horack is the author of the story collection The Southern Cross and the novel The Eden Hunter. His work has appeared in Oxford AmericanEpochThe Southern ReviewNarrative Magazine, and elsewhere. A native of Louisiana, Mr. Horack is currently a Jones Lecturer at Stanford, and a Wallace Stegner Fellow.

Lisa Catherine Harper's A Double Life: Discovering Motherhood was winner of the 2010 River Teeth Literary Nonfiction Award and a Publishers Weekly "must read".

Seth Harwood has an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His second novel, Young Junius is billed as "The Wire meets Cambridge, MA in 1987" and was picked by George Pelecanos as one of the best books of 2010. He has written two books, including an SF Chronicle best-seller.

With special guest, featured literary journal Alligator JuniperSarah Fontaine will introduce the magazine and reader Justin St. Germain, a Stegner Fellow whose work has appeared in its pages.


Doors open at 7:00. Reading begins at 7:30.
